The Prone Back Extension

The Prone Back Extension is a great stretch for loosening up the lower back. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1

Start in a face-down position on the floor.

Step 2

Raise your torso very slowly, placing your elbows below your shoulders to create a slight arch in your lower back.

Step 3

Place your hands on the ground and push yourself up as far as you feel comfortable, you should not feel any pain.

Step 4

Hold the position for 15-30 seconds, return to the starting position, and repeat up to 8 times.
